Inspired by Nature

Hi there, I’m Lynn, founder, creator and maker at Beach House Botanics.  I’ve loved candles ever since I was Student Nurse.  Working and studying a lot, I found candles helped me relax and could also help focus and motivate me.  As time passed, I began to suffer from chronic migraines and discovered that the fragrance oils used in candles would make them worse. I looked for alternative natural candles to burn but I found them incredibly expensive. After extensive research and training in the art of making candles, I started making my own candles and melts. I received lots of positive comments from family and friends and this inspired me to launch my own business as I wanted my candles to be available to other people too. 

I wanted candles that both smelled amazing and that would look great in any home so I chose mainly amber apothecary jars for the range of candles.  Sustainability is important to the business and, for this reason, the products are packaged in fully biodegradable or reusable materials.  Both the glass jars and tins can also be reused at home for other purposes.   I created blends of pure essential oils that would relax, refresh and inspire. Launching in 2017 with 5 Essential Oil blends, I added to the range in September 2020 to include an additional 5 blends creating a range that would appeal to everyone-floral, citrus, fresh and woody.

 Beach House Botanics is based on the East Devon coast, in Exmouth, and the inspiration for the products comes from the beautiful coastline and surrounding countryside.  All of the candles and melts are poured by me by hand in small batches. I only use 100% therapeutic grade essential oils.  The wicks in the candles are made from cotton / linen and the melts have dried botanicals added. Only sustainable soy wax is used in the products, which are all vegan friendly.  I hope you enjoy our range of products as much as I do in creating them.  All of our products meet the stringent Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) EU Regulations.
