Candles and Wicks

  1. Always let your candle burn long enough so that the burn pool (melted wax) reaches the edges of the container.  This ensures that the wax will melt down evenly, avoiding 'tunnelling'.
  2. Trim your wick before each burn to ensure a steady, consistent flame.  This avoids 'mushrooming'.
  3. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  4. Keep out of reach of children or pets.
  5. Always place on a heat-resistant surface/mat and do not handle once lit.
  6. Burn candles for a maximum of 4 hours at a time.
  7. Do not burn candles in a draught.
  8. Do not burn the candle all the way down.  Leave 5mm of wax in the container.
  9. Always use a candle snuffer to safely extinguish the flame.
  10. Keep the burn pool clear and free of debris (e.g. match heads).

Melts

  1. Place warmer on a safe, stable heat resistant surface away from draughts and in a well ventilated area.
  2. Always keep out of reach of children and pets.
  3.  Use only with a warmer labelled for use with wax melts.
  4. Do not leave unattended while in operation.
  5. DO NOT add water, essential oil or fragrance to melts.
  6. To avoid spillage or injury, do not move warmer when in use as warmer will become hot.
  7. Store melts away from children / pets.
  8. Melts do not evaporate and will eventually loose their scent. Do not poor melted wax into a drain but pour into kitchen roll and place in recyling.
  9. Keep away from flammable materials. Be sure to extinguish the flame after use.
